WDLPTV - Television Coverage of the Tournament ! http://www.kwcyberworks.com/HTML/hosting_service.htm Key West local television, WDLPTV, will film this year’s event. Player interviews, social events and overall coverage of this years games will be documented and broadcast on film by Luis Alverto Monge. The station just purchased a special camera to film our games, they will come to the field and cover this year’s tournament. WDLPTV covers the Miami, Pompano Beach and Key West areas. Check out our local TV station channel 22 when you go back to your hotel rooms. |

International & Girls Scrimmage Games - Early evening 4PM - 6PM at Bernstein Park, Stock Island (5st and 6 ave) we continue our international day celebrations with scrimmage games between all international teams and local girls teams. 20 minute playing time for each team. Tournament Auction tonight for dinners, snorkel trips, sunset sails, actvities to do on the island. do you want to join us ?

1 - 2 PM - Officials Meet - who will be officiating the tournament
we use 2006 rules which new guidelines have been incorporated for all our IWFFA tournaments. This meeting puts all our tournament officials on the same page for our competition. |

We have invited speakers from different teams in the tournament, to speak at our Opening Ceremonies. We will officially introduc our sponsored teams this year: Helsinki Wolverines and Markam Mauraders. Local politicians have been invited, Countries will come up to the stage / present their national flag and sing national anthem (some teams may want to play a tape for background music). American anthem will be sung by Commissioner Clayton Lopez and his sister Wilhemina Martin in addition to other national songs of the US. This party is a nice warm -up for the parade. Drinks, food available and Music. We ask all teams to be there and join our Best Costume and Best Team Contest - Prizes Will be Given. LINE UP FOR KELLY'S PARADE - 4:45PM
5PM - Kelly McGillis Players Parade - 7th Annual - and we want ALL TEAMS to march with usand bring your team banner, state flag or county flag!
Location: Line up 1125 Duval St @ We go down Duval from Catherine St to Greene St. where the parade ends.
Our Grand Marshallettes will be the Bitch Sisters (that's what their mother named them, not me) .
This year we invite all the teams to joins us to march while singing songs, songs, songs. Bring your banners to represent your team, or national flag.
MEMORIAL SERVICE TO BE HELD (after the tournament is over)
Our Conch Mermaid Mobil - Died. Hurricane Wilma took her away. This was the little baby responsible for driving across the US, Canada to promote flag football in the early years. She had almost 300,000 miles on her, until Wilma came and cut her life short. To honer our little Conch Mobil, we will bring her back to life, just one more time, during the parade. The president will sit on top, for the last time - holding her beautiful enlarged oak tag President's Sign - while women volunteer to push the conch mermaid mobil, down Duval St. We will need either one very strong woman, or many others to push. (after the tournament she will go up to car heaven... she was a good little truck) |
7PM-10PM Meet & Greet - Host Hotel: Grand Key Resort - 3990 South Roosevelt Blvd
All Players must attend and be officially cleared from roster Teams meet and socialize as they officially register for the tournament showing their IWFFA membership cards and photo I.D.'s. Rosters close at 10:00 PM*
Entertainment: will perform a wide variety of music including distinctive original songs and music from other artists. Photo board of teams who have participated in past Key West tournaments along with archives of women's flag football will be displayed. Tonight we will feature Ava Bianchiano's special media piece featuring our Key West tournament, history of women's tackle football and Kelly McGillis. Slide show presentation of flag football action shots. Three full bars available, food at a beautiful location. Tournament Auction tonight for dinners, snorkel trips, sunset sails, actvities to do on the island.
Manager's Meeting - 8PM (one rep per team) go to meeting room
Meeting will start at 8:15 in separate room at the Grand Key Resort. Refreshments: Michelob Ultra - Dynamite Beer! for Dynamite women!. Tournament head official Scott Porter will go over IWFFA rules. Tournament format, Tie Breaker and Protests will be described and teams will be seeded into their divisional brackets.
And while the meeting is going on, the crowd is going wild We will do the Swedish version of: karaoke - called "Allsang" where everyone sings, not just one poor schlepp in the crowd. (I guess the Swedes had a hard time singing songs solo, that the only way they could sing, was with a crowd ? Whatever, anyway, here are the songs we will sing, so get ready: Brown Eyed Girl (Van the Man), I feel fine (Beatles), Mustang Sally (we don't know the artist), Closer to Fine (indigo girls (( we better pick up the beat a bit!)), Horse with no name (no way, we will take this sucker out), Proud Mary (you go Tina!). Prizes to the team who sings the best. And if we get any suggestions for better songs, please call us up ASAP! do you have suggestions for us ?

Social Events - Thursday
Warm Up Event: += Pearls Speed Dating Game from 5 - 7PM
525 United St - This little game moves fast as women sign up to possibly go home with a partner (or cancel your return plane ticket ?) Local women and flag foootball players are invited to spend 3 minutes with each person, then move on to next, asking questions, taking notes. At end of process, if there was someone special, who thought you were special...well...that's a match and pairs will be united. If there are no matches, no pairing up (it has to go both ways).
Big Event: Fat Tuesday's Bar Olympic Games from 7:30 till (what time is your first game tomorrow?)
- this event is labeled as a "Wild Event"
Location: 305 Duval St. Sign up at 7:30 and games will begin at 8PM. 10 Teams of 4 players will compete in your "not so typical" bar games. Baby Bottle Sucking Hoop Shots, Beer Chugging plus more.
Fat's will award prizes to top winners! Hosted by Fat Tuesdays and will be announced by radio personality, Rude Girl. Show your IWFFA membership cards at door.

We will also bring back last years wheel barrel race so get ready for some high action fun!
