To be a great Official, It's not enough to know the rules and apply the penalties. It includes keeping calm and control amongst all the players and teams... while having their respect and admiration.

Jane started to officiate for the IWFFA in 2011. One of a few female officials, Jane is most respected and loved by many teams

Jane officiates for the RIWFFL.
Due to numerous injuries, Jane had to hang up her cleats. Not being involved with flag football was not an option, so Jane decided to become a referee.

Jane joined the IWFFA as a player back in 2003 with the RI Thunder, then RI Hurricanes

Jane had been involved with Rhode Island women flag football for over fifteen years. She began heradventure playing for Orange Crush on a Sunday morning league. During her career she was fortunate enough to participate in tournaments on the east coast, meeting a variety of players and coaches

At the Norristown, PA Women's Flag Football Tournament
Jane referees many tournaments, as well as her Rhode Island league
" Women's Flag Football NEEDS female officials!
And Jane is one of the few women officiating flag football for over 15 years. Female officials are looked upon as leaders and role models in a position dominated by men. Women can ensure the quality of our flag football games. Thank you Jane for not hanging up your cleats. Thank you for giving back to the sport !"
