Under the direction of Coach Eduardo Lopez Barrientos, Baloo, Club Vaqueros has achieved 16 championships (4 in children category, 10 in juvenile category and 2 in senior category) positioning the organization in the first place of all the organizations in wining tournaments of the FADEMAC league.
The qualities of Coach Baloo have made their players develop their skills, knowledge and desire to continue practicing this sport by accumulating experiences that will help them with their personal and sportive life. All this also get him the recognition and thankful of all the women for his human and fraternal treatment inside and outside the field.
was born in Mexico City in May 2nd, 1981. At the age of 6, he started his sport career in Club Vaqueros A.C., he also played in Club Pumitas A.C., in Centro Universitario México (CUM), in Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Ciudad de México (ITESM CCM) and in Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) until he turned 22.
His coach’s career started at a young age of 12 in Club Vaqueros with children of 5 years old. When he grew up, he started teaching to 17 teenagers in different categories.
In 2000, through the joint participation of Minerva Utrilla Pineda and Valeri Araceli Martinez Martinez (who played in the Vaqueros’ first women’s team), they invited young ladies interested in starting this project in Vaqueros with Eduardo as coach of the team. From this date began the success of all the excellent results of this team.
In 2002, they achieved the first place in women’s flag football in the juvenile category of Football Americano del Estado de México (FADEMAC), Eduardo also gain the position of head coach for the north vs south bowl.

In order to extend all this development and partnership, the women’s flag football players have participated in 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 in the Kelly McGillis Classic International Women´s & Girls Flag Football Championship, organized by the International Women’s Flag Football Association (IWFFA) on February in Key West, Florida. In this tournament, Vaqueros have achieved one first place in 2008 (Beginner Division), two in 2010 (Girls Division and Division Two) and one all-star bowl Championship & World Challenge III. At the beginning, it started with one team in 2003, nowadays Vaqueros went with three teams in 2011.

La Asociación Internacional de Flag Football Femenil (IWFFA, por sus siglas en ingles), reconoció con el Porter Wilson Award – 2010, al coach mexicano Eduardo López “Baloo” del Club Vaqueros, por su desempeño como entrenador en jefe y su trabajo como promotor de esta disciplina.
“Baloo” quien inicio su carrera deportiva a los 6 años de edad en el Club Vaqueros A.C. participo también en el Club Pumitas A.C., en el Centro Universitario México (CUM) en el Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) campus Ciudad de México y en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) hasta los 22 años.
Su carrera de entrenador empezó a los 12 años de edad en Vaqueros, con niños de 5 años y conforme creció llegó hasta con jóvenes de 17 años, en diferentes categorías.
En el año 2000 junto con Minerva Utrilla y Valeri Araceli Martínez, “Baloo” decide conformar el primer equipo de flag femenil y apoyados por los dirigentes de tal organización, se da inicio así a lo que ha sido una etapa que hasta la fecha ha logrado dar excelentes frutos en lo deportivo.
Dos años más tarde logra su primer campeonato femenil en la categoría juvenil de la liga Futbol Americano del Estado de México A.C. (FADEMAC), obteniendo también el puesto de head coach en el tazón Norte vs Sur.
Gracias a la constancia, paciencia, superación y ganas por difundir este magnífico deporte y ayudar a las mujeres a practicarlo, Eduardo López ha conseguido 16 títulos; 4 en categoría infantil, 4 en A, 6 en AA y 2 en Mayor, asimismo al lado de él han participado 153 mujeres, desde niñas de 9 hasta los 40 años.
Bajo la dirección de López Barrientos, el equipo femenil de Vaqueros ha participado en el torneo Kelly McGillis Classic que organiza la IWFFA en las ediciones de 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010 y 2011, obteniendo el primer lugar en 2008 y 2010, además del campeonato en el Tazón de Selecciones de Estrellas.
